Booker Prize goes to Hilary Mantel for Wolf Hall

She was the bookies’ favorite and the people’s favorite – and Hilary Mantel became the judges’ favorite as Wolf Hall, her vividly told tale of Tudor intrigue, emerged triumphant as the Man Booker Prize winner.
