The central characters are well rounded enough that it's hard to absolutely love or loathe the individuals, with the obvious exception of bad boy Felix!

I'm looking foward to more development of the young women characters, Henrietta Carbury and Marie Melmotte.

When I started reading I felt I was back in 9th grade English (we read Dickens). Then I got hooked on the story. I can only imagine how Londoners were waiting for the next monthly installment. Favorite character: Roger. Least: Felix, of course.

Just a note to let you know about a book blog I’ve started with a different twist: “Writing Kurt Vonnegut.” Every Saturday, I post another excerpt from my notebook as Vonnegut’s biographer— profiles of the people I met, the difficulties encountered, and the surprises, such as finding 1,500 letters he thought he had lost forever. It’s a blog written in episodes about being a literary detective. Perhaps your group would find it useful.

All the best,

We're so happy you've discovered Book Club To Go. Unfortunately, with the exception of The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, our titles are for adult book groups. If you need multiple copies of "tween" book titles, our children's and teen librarians would be happy to gather titles for you. You can reach the Children's Library at 330-643-9050 and the Teen desk at 330-643-9067. Thank you!
